Description

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join our asset management company. As the COO, you will play a pivotal role in the organization’s success by overseeing and optimizing its day-to-day operations and implementing strategic initiatives to drive growth and efficiency. You will work closely with the executive team to ensure the company’s operational excellence, regulatory compliance, risk management, and overall performance.

Accountability (Responsibilities)

  • Operational Strategy: Develop and execute the company’s operational strategy aligned with the overall business objectives. Collaborate with the executive team to establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and monitor progress towards achieving targets.
  • Risk Management: Implement robust risk management processes to identify, assess and mitigate operational, financial and regulatory risks. Continuously review and update risk management policies to align with industry best practices.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the company’s compliance with all relevant industry regulations and legal requirements. Stay informed about changes in regulations and advise the executive team on necessary adjustments to operations.
  • Financial Management:  Oversee the financial aspects of the company, working in conjunction with the CFO. Develop and manage the annual budget, monitor expenses and optimizefinancial performance.
  • Team Leadership: Provide strong leadership and guidance to the operational teams, promoting a positive and high performing work culture. Encourage professional development and talent acquisition to build a skilled and motivated workforce.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve operational processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Identify areas for automation and implement relevant technologies to streamline workflows.
  • Business Development: Collaborate with the business development team to identify opportunities for growth and expansion. Support the implementation of new products or services to meet market demands.
  • Client Relations: Foster strong relationships with clients and institutional investors. Address any client-related operational issues promptly and ensure excellent customer service.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Develop and present regular reports on operational performance to the executive team and board of directors. Utilize data analyticto derive insights and make data-driven decisions.
  • Vendor and Service Provider Management: Oversee relationships with third-party vendors and service providers, ensuring they meet the company’s standards and expectations.

Educational

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance or a related field. MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of asset management operations, including portfolio management, fund administration, compliance and risk management.
